THE HISTORY
The Social Cooperative Enterprise Lilandia Gi started its winemaking steps in 2018 and consists of five members who each have a key role in the production process from the vine to the wine.
It is located in the fertile land of the Lilantii Field, and more specifically in the village of Mytikas, in an area with a long tradition of vines. The climate is characterized as Mediterranean with mild winters and hot summers.
It is also worth noting that the difference in temperature between day and night is large, which helps the beneficially slow ripening of the grapes. As for the soil, it is characterized as silty clay with satisfactory drainage.
Respecting the protection of the ecosystem in which we operate, we use agricultural practices that do not burden the environment while at the same time enhancing the biodiversity of the soil and activating the fauna.
So a lot of work in our vineyard is done manually and the agricultural tractors are light weight to avoid compaction of the soil.
