THE HISTORY
Our Winery is a Family Business that produces wines in small quantities. It is located in Paleo Pedinos of Lemnos and collects the grapes of the producers of the wider region. The predominant variety is Muscat of Alexandria and on a very small scale the ancient red variety called Limnio or Kalampaki is cultivated.
The Winery has a capacity of 50 tons, has a WILMESS Mechanical Press, stainless steel tanks, all the necessary machinery for its operation, as well as an automatic bottling line.
The entire island of Lemnos is a demarcated PDO wine production zone. (Protected Designation of Origin) Lemnos since 1982.
The shape of the vineyards is cup-shaped, and the height of the trunk (vine) does not exceed 40-50 cm, as the winds that occur on the Island do not facilitate their linear arrangement.
The vines are arid, meaning they are not irrigated and the Muscat of Alexandria variety is planted in the volcanic soils of the Island, unlike the Kalampaki variety which is mostly planted in the sandy soils of the Southeast.
